Chalk Painting

Today was a day to be in the garden so once we had cut the lawn for the first time this year, done yet more weeding, played football and watered the plants we set to a bit of chalk painting.

Here's what to do:

1. Scrape some chalk off a stick into a bowl. I have used a child's knife before but I used a big flat shell today, which worked really well and was much more comfortable to use.

2. Mix the chalk powder with a small amount of water. It doesn't really matter how much, you just get a different vibrancy according to how much water you use. We used a pipette and mixed in no more than 10ml of water into each colour, probably more like 5ml.

3. Get creative or make a mess depending on your perspective!
