Three cards from the new books

The first two are iris folding cards with some additions and the last one is a simple example of teabag folding. The last one is actually three-dimensional but is a little squished by my scanner!

Some simple flowers

Here are a few simple flower designs that use a variety of techniques to create quick and effective greetings cards…

little beaded flower 2It looks quite fiddly but this beaded flower is actually relatively straightforward to reproduce.

button lazy daisyThis one also looks great with a simple jewel in the centre and makes it even quicker to make!

big flowersThese big flowers look great whether you use paper, material or even magazine cuttings to make them. The stitching and buttons really make it come alive though.

Wedding Ideas

With all this stupid snow keeping me from work (yes, I really do want to get back to normal now) I’ve been trying out some new designs inspired by those new books that I discussed in the previous post. However, I’m not going to blog about those until I’ve made a couple more so today’s post shows a few of the wedding designs that I’ve used in the past…

Becca and JonThis one was an A4 design that I put into a frame for Rebecca and Jon as part of their wedding present.

ruth weddingI made this one for my sister-in-law and her husband in November, it was well worth the time and effort – I love this card.

Exciting Christmas Gifts

Many thanks to my parents-in-law who bought me a couple of excellent books from Search Press. I have one about iris paper folding and another about tea-bag paper folding. These are both crafts that I’ve done before, and thoroughly enjoy, but I was in need of some additional inspiration.
The cards that I’ve made so far were inspired by a good website that I use. It’s also great for the tea-bag papers that you can print at home… Circle of Crafters
I’ll keep you posted with new cards as I get the time to explore the books further.
